and
emerge media-libs/flac
This should fix the problems.

Description:


This problem is caused by the FLAC input plugin of xmms.
Currently it is broken. Other distributions do not detect this error. The reason for this is that gentoo uses a special glibc with enhanced error detection. This enhancement catches programming bugs in FLAC.
