You can set up an easy shortcut in Konqueror to search the gentoo.linuxhowtos.org portage tree.
For example:
entering portage:wget gives you a list of packages with the word wget in it. Also fuzzy matches (containing matches with little differences) are displayed. This is helpful if you dont know the exact spelling.
Search provider name is a free text you want. (e.g. gentoo.linuxhowtos.org portage search)
Search URI is: http://gentoo.linuxhowtos.org/portagesearch/\{@}
URI shortcut is: portage
